In 2005 I joined with a prestigious Spa company called Steiner Trans Ocean, who have a reputation for the highest of standards throughout the whole Beauty Industry. It was then that I was able to bring my two passions together as well as furthering my career. I studied at the reknowned Steiner Training academy in London, and progressed to Skin Specialist where my true talent lies.

In the course of my career with Steiner I performed over 5000 skin care facials and continued training in maintaining skin care. I have treated all variations and degrees of skin complaints and with my thirst for knowledge, have been able to keep up to date with the latest of skin care developments from all over the world.

As always, I am constantly looking at how to improve the standards and quality of treatments that I carry out, and was promoted to assistant Spa Director onboard my last Cruise Ship. I led a team of 23 girls and guys, in all departments of the Spa world; Hair, Beauty, Massage, Holistic and Fitness. It was here that I was able to have a direct hand in improving the 6 Star Spa by passing my knowledge and experience along with my passion and dedication to my team members. It was a very hectic and stressful time filled with amazing adventures, inspiring people and experiences that challenged and encouraged me forwards. It gave me the tools to be able to adapt and maintain a constant exceptional standard to which I hold high at all times.

After 2 and a half years at sea, I decided to ground myself and began looking for a position which suited my qualifications and experience. I was looking for a salon where care and attention was paid to even the smallest of details, and had a level of high standard to which I had become accustomed. I did not want to move backwards and at a time where the Beauty Industry was flourishing, I found it difficult to be able to ‘tick’ all the boxes. Fortunately I stumbled upon the position as Assistant manager at Matis Beauty and not knowing who owned it, I was granted an interview. After standard trade tests and interview procedures Elene awarded me the position and entrusted the salon and its running to my care. Since June 2007, along with the day to day running of the salon, I have been able to help Elene progress the salon further, introducing a well received Skin Care evening for their 2nd anniversary and also established a new treatment to our menu, which combines luxury pampering with skin treatments that exudes ultimate relaxation. It has become a huge success.

To be able to work alongside someone with the same attitudes and desires is refreshing and I enjoy every minute of it. And it gives me great pleasure to be able to offer my ideas to a fabulous salon that I believe can raise ever higher standard and take it to the next level. During my career, I have trained with various product houses, including; Dermalogica, Guinot, Jessica, La Therapie, Elemis Skin Care, Elemis Body Care, Elemis Ocean Spa Wrap, Elemis Hot Stone and Matis Skin Care. I believe that this is an important part of my career, and enables me to keep up to date with the latest developments within the industry, which I can then relay to my clients.
